iToolSoft Blu Ray Ripper Review

Submitted by on Thursday, 21 April 2011

The iToolSoft Blu-Ray Ripper is a Blu-Ray to DVD converter software supporting multiple output formats. This Blu-Ray software offers basic features for all the users, but does not exceed in offering unique or significantly new features to the customers. The application is not freeware, but you can download the program for a trial and give it a run to convince yourself this is the application you need.

Price: $29.95

The program works all the time step by step and is not difficult to follow the guidelines. There are not many settings the user can adjust, but the bit rate and resolution are some of the output parameters the customers can tweak. The program features a preview window which displays the target Blu-Ray source and a splitter function. The rest of the features of this application are basic and can be found in other software pieces as well.
Customers can use iToolSoft Blu-Ray Ripper to back-up movies from any Blu-Ray DVD to the hard disk. Moreover, all the copies are high-quality and perfect 1:1 copies, regardless of the format or type of the Blu-Ray Disk (BD).

All the copied and ripped DVDs are high-quality. They maintain the audio and video and there is not that much to criticize. Moreover, there are not issues at all with the audio and video syncing. As stated before, this program does not offer unique and advanced features, but its main selling point is the quality of the delivered results.
The interface of iToolSoft Blu-Ray Ripper is sleek and easy to use. The main navigation is at the top and the video settings the customers can adjust are at the bottom. The preview screen we talked about earlier is at the bottom too. The information architect placed every button in such a manner that you find an option exactly where you think it should be.

The program has a very good built-in decryption system that can bypass copy protections, so regardless where you have your Blu-Ray DVD from, you will be able to copy it into your computer and store it there.
Though this Blu-Ray software does not feature difficult processes, the support for the program is not very good. There are some information you can find about this Blu-Ray ripper on the web site, but the user guide is very brief and barely touches the basics of the conversion process. The FAQ section on the webpage should have been a saver, but what appears to be a link doesn’t actually work. Yes, surprisingly enough, there is no FAQ section on the official site, so no help from this source either.

However, the site has an issue center where you can address your questions. You can find information about retrieving a lost key code and questions about ordering and shipping. You can also contact the company for general issues, but there is only one e-mail address you can write to. We don’t know how many e-mails they get each week, but only one e-mail address seems too little considering they do not have many other sources of information to provide the users with. One e-mail address is hardly sufficient and you may have to wait too much to get an answer.

The iToolSoft application is a good Blu-Ray software if you look for basic Blu-Ray back-up or copy and burn, but do not buy it if you seek for more advanced features. If you buy this application you might want to be sure everything is in order, because you will probably not get too much information from the company technical support.

The program can be purchased for $45.95 from the official webpage. You can even download a trial to make sure this application suits your needs. However, at such a price you could get better programs, so before jumping into a decision, take your time and review other applications under the same price range, they might provide better results.

I am all things related to Blu-Ray software. I work in the optical disc industry and manufacturer Blu-Ray and DVD discs. I have a passion about the software that is coming out in this industry. I have put together this site to help you choose what Blu-Ray software is best for your needs. Follow me on +RossBryson
